MEDIAR Ltd., the company responsible for managing this website, respects users’ right to be informed about the collection and processing of their personal data. We commit to collecting and processing such data only when necessary to provide the services offered through the website.

This site is designed to minimize the collection of personal data.

This Privacy Policy (also referred to as the "Privacy Statement") contains all the essential information regarding how your personal data is collected and processed. It complies with the requirements of Bulgarian law and Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council — commonly known as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)—concerning the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and the free movement of such data.

The Privacy Policy identifies the data controller responsible for collecting and processing personal data in order to provide contractual services and enhance the Site’s functionality.

2. ADMINISTRATOR AND PROCESSOR OF PERSONAL DATA

The website www.mediar.bg is owned by MEDIAR Ltd., a company registered under the Commercial Law of the Republic of Bulgaria with UIC 204786741 and registered address: A, fl. 3, apt. 10.

MEDIAR Ltd. also serves as the data controller for the online platform and website, collecting and processing users’ personal data on its own behalf.

3.  PERSONAL DATA COLLECTION PROCESS AND PURPOSES

Users are informed that their personal data is processed on the legal basis of Article 6(1)(a) and (b) of EU Regulation 679/2016 (GDPR), specifically: a) the data subject has given consent for the processing of their personal data for the specific purposes outlined in this section; b) the processing is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is a party.

No personal data is collected or processed when unregistered visitors (“surfers”) browse the Site.

Information collected: Mediar Ltd., as the Data Controller, collects the following personal data during user registration and for the fulfillment of its contractual obligations: full name, company name, telephone number, and email address. The phone number and address may also be provided optionally by the customer—at their discretion or when using specific services offered through the Site.

Personal data is collected and processed to enable the provision of services offered by the Site. Additional personal data may be voluntarily provided by the user—for example, when interacting with the Site’s features, subscribing to newsletters, registering for programs, or participating in other initiatives available through the Site.

Users are also informed that if they withdraw their consent to the processing of their personal data, such withdrawal will not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out prior to the withdrawal.

With the user’s voluntary, optional, and free consent, Mediar Ltd. may also process personal data for marketing purposes. This includes sending newsletters, emails, SMS, or Viber messages containing information about products, offers, exclusive sales, promotional campaigns, events, or other initiatives organized or supported by Mediar Ltd. — including invitations to such events.

 

Users may object to the use of their personal data for promotional communications at any time. Each marketing message will include clear instructions on how to withdraw consent. Users may also opt out by:

  • emailing the Site Administrator; or

  • adjusting their profile settings to disable promotional communications.

Summary of user rights under Regulation (EU) 2016/679:

  1. Access personal data processed by the controller (Article 15).

  2. Request rectification of personal data (Article 16).

  3. Request erasure of personal data (“right to be forgotten”) (Article 17).

  4. Restrict processing of personal data (Article 18).

  5. Object to processing of personal data (Article 21).

  6. Withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing prior to withdrawal. Consent can be withdrawn through a form on the Site; however, this may prevent access to certain services, which will be treated as a service withdrawal. Following withdrawal, Mediar Ltd. will no longer send marketing materials or participate in customer outreach.

  7. Right to data portability: Pursuant to Article 20, the controller confirms that the website currently lacks the technical capability to support the transfer of personal data to other websites.

5. STORAGE OF PERSONAL DATA

Personal data is collected and processed through an electronic system managed by Mediar Ltd. and is securely stored on servers operated by WIX.com.

The Site Administrator confirms that personal data will not be transferred to countries outside the European Union.

6. TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS AND CONDITIONS OF PERSONAL DATA PROCESSING

Personal data collected by the Site Administrator, Mediar Ltd., is processed primarily by electronic means and, in rare cases, manually, in accordance with the procedures and logic related to the processing purposes outlined previously.

Data necessary for achieving these purposes—including that provided on the basis of the user’s explicit consent—will be retained for a period of five (5) years from the user’s last recorded activity, or until the user requests deletion.

Mediar Ltd. ensures that all data processing operations comply with applicable security standards, aiming to minimize risks such as data loss, destruction, unauthorized access, or unlawful processing inconsistent with the original purposes of collection.

Moreover, the Site’s information systems and software are designed to reduce the use of personal and identifying data, which are only utilized when strictly necessary to fulfill specific processing objectives.
